Education

CHAT helps Give Students Confidence to succeed BOTH in the classroom and out.

CHAT’s education initiatives help students in grades K–12 adapt, connect, and thrive to their new environment.

Through social-emotional learning, cultural activities, and academic support, we give students the skills and confidence they need to succeed, both in and out of the classroom. Working with local schools, we offer activities like art, STEM, and social skills workshops, helping students embrace their heritage and grow in a supportive space.

You can make a difference in the lives of these young learners by volunteering, donating, or partnering with CHAT. Together, we can help every student grow, learn, and succeed. Ready to get involved? Contact us at chat@maaa.org to learn more!

CHAT Academy partners with local schools to help students feel supported. By matching students with tutors who speak their language, CHAT helps them build their confidence, develop study skills, and feel less stressed at school. Activities like art, crafts, photography, and STEM workshops encourage both learning and creativity, creating a space for success.

Girls’ Club for Success helps girls build social and emotional skills. Following a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program and held at local schools, the club helps girls handle challenges at and with friends. Workshops cover topics like self-image, community, resilience, and wellness. Creative activities, such as storytelling, art, and physical activities, make it easier for girls to express themselves and build confidence.

Melting Pot brings together boys and girls in a multi-session program to help them develop socially and emotionally. Based on SEL principles and held at local schools, Melting Pot helps students learn teamwork, cultural understanding, and communication. Interactive workshops and hands-on activities like art and movement create a sense of belonging, allowing students from different backgrounds to learn and grow together.

Our Summer Camps mix education and entertainment, to keep the love of learning alive during school breaks. Held at partner schools, these camps offer activities such as arts and crafts, STEM projects, and cultural exploration, allowing students to meet new friends, explore their interests, and be creative and collaborative.
