Kick-Off to CHAT’s 10-Year Anniversary Celebrations: Community Potluck

To kick off CHAT’s 10-year anniversary celebrations, we hosted a vibrant potluck event that brought together women from various Women’s Circles. The gathering began with warm introductions, helping participants connect and share their stories in a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. The women added joy and cultural pride to the celebration by dressing in colorful traditional attire. A delicious array of homemade dishes, along with food provided by CHAT, made the shared lunch a highlight of the day. Music and dancing further energized the event, reflecting the happiness and strong community spirit that defines CHAT. We look forward to highlighting more monthly celebrations leading up to CHAT’s 10-year anniversary.

Doll-Making Workshops

At the Garden, CHAT’s fabric doll-making workshops offer a creative and healing space for immigrant and refugee women to connect, share stories, and celebrate their heritage. Participants are learning to design and sew handmade dolls using fabric, thread, and decorative materials, and build sewing skills while expressing themselves artistically. Beyond the craft, the workshop fosters mindfulness, emotional well-being, and community connection. Each finished doll became a symbol of resilience, creativity, and cultural pride, reminding participants of their strength and the shared power of storytelling through art.

Melting Pot: A Social Emotional Learning Program

Several students with masks are sitting in black chairs in a classroom. There are two adults with them, wearing bright yellow shirts.

In partnership with Nameless Sound, CHAT’s after-school sessions provide a vibrant and supportive environment for K–8 students through a mix of social-emotional learning (SEL) programming, creative art activities, and music lessons. These sessions help students build emotional awareness, express themselves artistically, and explore music in new and meaningful ways. By combining social-emotional learning with the arts, CHAT fosters confidence, connection, and creativity in every child we serve.

CHAT Partners with HOPE Clinic

CHAT’s Director Dr. Aisha Siddiqui was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation at HOPE Clinic’s National Health Center Week Art Exhibit and Partner Appreciation. This special gathering brought together community champions, local leaders, and dedicated partners committed to uplifting and supporting communities. It was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the collective impact we’re making and to celebrate the strong partnerships that help make our mission possible. We’re proud to stand alongside organizations that share our vision of accessible, compassionate care and community empowerment.
